Postcard Super Gift
There’s a very sincere, personal-approach and easy to perform way to greet a person, anybody, your dear Man included. It’s small, accessible, is always in big variety, not money-consuming and neither taking much space. I’m talking about postcards.
Disappointed? In vain! For many of my friends keep collections of postcards, chosen mostly by the main principle – they were offered to them, not bought by themselves, and contained hand-written wish.
Personally I even stuck the most attractive examples on the walls of my bedroom to create a kind of “in friends’ circle” ambiance. But, like everywhere, there are some underwater stones. And making a plain piece of carton a Super Gift requires some creativity and a drop of uniqueness.
So, let me, and old experienced and seasoned postcard offerer, dare and give you some advice in order to cooperate over creation of your Super Gift for your special Man.
First, don’t get stuck over some date – once you notice a postcard that might suit some friend of yours/ special occasion for your Man/ you just like it, don’t hesitate to acquire it, then. Let it collect some dust in your chest but one day it will relieve you from feverish search of the appropriate postcard in the eve of the Event. You’ll enjoy yourself somewhere else, instead.
Second, prefer those postcards with a blank page – don’t know why, but all those ready-printed wishes are so outrageous! Better put a couple of your own kind words with ordinary ball pen – here’s a magic of making an extraordinary thing with such ordinary objects. Warning! Such type of hand-written message is absolutely necessary on the romantic card for your second half!
So, what type of card would be Unique and will give more emotions and smiles, than any present?
Here’re just some ideas, don’t limit yourself on them!:
If you happen to see an image of a creature somehow reminding you of your acquaintance, you’ve got it! (once I offered such a rabbit in glasses to my teacher of French wearing about the same glasses, and that was of great effect!).
You notice a postcard with a quotation that is a favorite phrase of somebody you know or will be a good answer to his question, recently asked? Here you are again!
Your friend understands good humor? Old granny offering her decrepit hubby red man strings for the anniversary of the wedding will perfectly do!
Misses Him while you are away in the business trip? Gray shabby teddy bear under the rain will communicate your feelings better then tedious whinning to the receiver.
You return from some interesting place – so, postcard with a local view or bright picture from the festival you’ve been to will be a really good souvenir, if not for somebody, then just for you!
And if you want to make this present really expensive, consider some antique postcard that will make fight several collectors!
Choices are really multiple, up to you to find your style of expression of the feelings you have. For, finally, postcard is the way to show your attention, nothing more, but what else do gifts serve for, after all?
